Individual Membership

Any individual who supports the Vision and Mission of the WOCAT Network can sign up to become an Individual Member.

Being an Individual Member entails:

• Access to WOCAT tools and methods, as well as detailed information on SLM practices recorded in the WOCAT database.
• Access to the network of Individual Members for connecting with others having specific backgrounds or from particular regions.
• Inclusion in the network of Individual Members, which facilitates finding relevant experts for specific activities, projects, or programs.
• Option to be included in the Roster of Experts by submitting their profile for inclusion on the WOCAT Website.
• Contributing to the global WOCAT knowledge base and database by sharing information products, data, or other materials with the Secretariat and the WOCAT network.
• Utilizing WOCAT tools and methods in their respective fields of work with proper acknowledgment and reporting on activities related to the implementation of WOCAT tools and methods within their field of work.
• Receiving regular WOCAT information and the biannual WOCAT newsletter.

Requirements for Individual Members:

• Acceptance of terms and conditions is necessary to become an individual member, subject to approval by the Secretariat.
• Maintaining an active online profile is important for membership continuity.
• Logging in at least once a year to update or validate their profile.
• Compliance with membership commitments and alignment with the Vision and Mission of the WOCAT Network are essential.

Individuals with lapsed or terminated status can reapply for membership.

Any Individual Member can request to be included in the Roster of Experts by submitting their profile to be included in the Roster available on the WOCAT Website.

The WOCAT global coordination and the Regional Clusters may use the Roster to contact experts for voluntary inputs on specific questions or for paid support, for example to conduct trainings. Selection of experts for paid activities will be based on a tender process.

The Secretariat will be responsible for developing terms of reference and streamlining the tender process. The Roster will be promoted to the Network as well as to donors and specialized agencies as a reference register to engage with qualified experts.
