ELD Campus
The
Economics of Land Degradation (ELD) Initiative aims to create awareness about
the costs of land degradation and the benefits of sustainable land management
(SLM).
ELD Campus provides high level
training and capacity improvement for policymakers, scientists and academics
who want to learn about the significance and application of ecosystem services
valuation. It is available in French and English.
In particular, ELD Campus provides:
1. An overview of the rationale behind economic valuation of ecosystem service
2. An understanding of how economic valuation is done
3. Guidance on how the information can be used:
- in policy-making and planning regarding land use;
- for practitioners;
- to integrate into training curricula.
