Rima Mekdaschi Studer & Hanspeter Liniger

SLM is crucial for sustainable development, building on enhancing agricultural productivity and the long-term productive potential of natural resources and the maintenance of their environmental functions and as an entry point for improving land resources resilience and productivity. SLM practices need to account for prevalent and changing climate conditions. WOCAT recognizes and acknowledges the challenge and importance to adapt to climate change.

The aim of WOCAT, as a network, is to increase the awareness and motivation of planners and decision makers as well as land users and agricultural advisors and to provide knowledge support concerning the advantages and disadvantages of available alternatives, based on a wide range of experience in the field.
