The event offers a dedicated space for a follow-up exchange of the session “Streamlining Reporting of SLM Technologies between the WOCAT Database and PRAIS” from the CRIC panel on Leveraging Data, Tools, and Innovation for the 2026 UNCCD Reporting Process.

The discussion will focus on how Sustainable Land Management (SLM) practices can be linked more effectively with Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) targets and better be integrated into the PRAIS framework. The event will feature country experiences, discussions and an open exchange for exploring options for metadata, user friendly linkages that improve consistency, scalability, and evidence-based reporting on SLM.

By showcasing and discussing options for connecting field-level SLM practices to national LDN targets in a structured and dynamic way, this side event aims to contribute to strengthening the UNCCD implementation framework and advancing more impactful and scalable land restoration solutions.
