WOCAT Input During the CRIC23 Official Plenary

The panel discussion “Leveraging Data, Tools, and Regional Expertise for the 2026 UNCCD Reporting Process” will detail the improved reporting infrastructure, including the redesigned Performance Review and Assessment of Implementation System (PRAIS) 4 platform and new geospatial tools, developed to enhance data quality and capacity for countries reporting on Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) and SDG 15.3 in 2026. In this panel discussion, WOCAT will present the latest advancements and updated guidance for reporting on SDG Indicator 15.3.1 and Strategic Objective 1, as outlined in the newly developed SDG 15.3.1 Good Practice Guidance Addendum. The session will also highlight how these updates are being implemented in Trends.Earth and PRAIS. In addition, WOCAT will present solutions to streamline the reporting of Sustainable Land Management (SLM) practices in PRAIS through integration, e.g. the WOCAT Database, demonstrating how harmonized data flows can improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
